![]() Pediatric dentistry focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems in children ages 1-2 all the way into early adulthood. This dentist can detect, treat, or refer (as needed) problems with decayed, missing, crowded, or crooked teeth. A pediatric dentist has at least two additional years of training beyond the standard dental school requirements of general dentistry. The additional training consentrates on the management and treatment of children's developing teeth, child behavior, physical growth and development, and how best to approach the treatment of children. A pediatric dentist is called a Pedodontist. |
